Strain Review: Gorilla Glue #4
Arguably the best strain for stimulating creativity, Gorilla Glue #4 is a hybrid of two sativa strains, Chem’s Sister and Chocolate Diesel. You’ll be perfectly content sitting in one place and doing a single activity for long periods of time with the help of GG #4. This strain stimulates your brain so that you’ll be able to focus on one single, technical project. Practicing a particularly tricky piece on a musical instrument or engaging in an intricate hobby will prove especially appealing while enjoying GG #4. You might find yourself up all night working.
There will be no melting into the couch with this one. GG #4 makes you feel motivated—you’ll be glad to stay in one place, but you’ll want to be getting things done in that one place at the same time. It’s great for combatting ADHD and anxiety and will help alleviate depression with the euphoric feeling you’ll experience.
One con of GG #4 (if you consider it a con) is that you might feel slightly more intoxicated than you will with some other sativa strains. The example I have tested at a whopping 24.6 percent THC and 0.1 percent CBD. It was grown by Dawg Star, and I bought it at Green Head Cannabis in Vancouver, Washington. With GG #4, you might feel dizzy after standing up, or you might run into things. Of course, you’ll find this hilarious at the time.
GG #4 gives off a highly potent smell. I can smell this particular batch right through its sealed jar. The flower smells peppery, but the taste is very piney and minty, with just a hint of that pepper. The buds are a mixture of light green and deep to dark green, with orangish-brown hairs, and they are entirely coated in a glittery white frost.
